Finally one got it right! After all of my complaints about mediocre 3rd street/beverly/melrose brunch cafes I found one that is Raging and super popular. Blu Jam cafe actually figured out that great food and great service will blow any attempt to be trendy out of the water  (ahemm Toast). Everything I’ve tried at BJ has blown me out of my chair, especially the gourmet burger. Listen to this ridiculous combo of greatness: Grilled Angus ground beef, pesto aioli, sautéed mushrooms, Gorgonzolla, smoked bacon, caramelized onions, and micro greens on a burger bun. OOOO Sex. YUM. Just look at that PIC! The Eggwhich, omelettes, pancakes, and pretty much everything breakfast is killer. Everyone raves about the Crunchy French Toast… I’ll have to get it next time. I also dig the fact that they have a Hangover scramble, I’m saving that one for that special hangover.

Bomb Brunch!

There are a few things that really stand out at Blu Jam besides the food. One is the attitude of the servers, and an owner that brings passion to your table.. making sure your taste buds are raging. Second, is the size.  Blu Jam is the perfect size brunch spot with a light and bright cool feel. I also heard that their dinner is killer. I’ll definitely be heading back for that.
