YES! The one thing that goes through our minds when we eat any dish at this restaurant. YES, Tori PiriKara, YES Tori Wasai Goma, YES, ……….. YES, ………….. We love this place and  have one good friend to thank for showing us this Japanese restaurant. It’s for sure a Raging Taste Bud’s favorite.

No, it’s not Sushi and  Yes there are other types of Japanese food than sushi and its not fried whale.  And Yes, this place makes some of the best small Japanese dishes in LA. Take a look at the video to get a feel for the vibe inside. It is simple, not classy, not trashy, just simple. You are here to enjoy the company you bring along and the great small dishes that they have to offer.

A Raging Taste Buds Favorite!

We always order the Chicken wings, Tori Wasai Goma (Chicken with cucumbers in a yum sauce) and Kimchi to start, nothing daring or exotic. I guess you could say these are the standard dishes everyone will eat. From there we move to the Beef Sashimi with a slice of lemon, and the Tori Pira Kara, which is a dish similar to Orange Chicken. Everyone needs to order the Halibut, which is a baby Halibut deep friend and comes with lemon wedges and a ponzu sauce to dip. SOOOO YUM. Be sure to try the tail, the head, etc…you can eat the whole thing, its fried to perfection! They also have a great Sea Bass with a wasabi mayo, amazing yakitori (skewers), good yellowtail collar, amazing rice soups,  and other very authentic Japanese dishes.

If you are going to eat here, make sure you eat the traditional way, which is without your shoes on and sitting indian style in the back of the restaurant at low floor tables. YAAAA. Order a ton of beer and LIVE a little. Let your taste buds rage and your mind be set freeee. Wooooooo.
